Warrant Arrest
At 8:27 a.m., Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, P.O. Lucas
Doney determined that the driver, a 49-year-old Paterson man,
was wanted for an outstanding warrant issued by Midland Park
Municipal Court. In addition, he was issued a summons for
driving with a suspended license. The man was unable to post
bail and was turned over to Midland Park police.

Fraudulent Credit
Card Use Reported
At 8:36 a.m., A resident reported that he received a phone
call from his credit card company stating that three fraudulent
purchases had been made on his account. The card was cancelled
and the Detective Bureau is investigating.
Shoplifting Reported
At 10:54 a.m., The manager of the CVS store on Rock Road
reported that on Jan. 8 two females were observed leaving the
store with a gray plastic storage bin containing $5,783 worth of
cologne and perfume. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

Drug Arrest
At 3:28 a.m., Following the investigation of a suspicious
vehicle in the vicinity of Ellsworth Terrace and Andover
Terrace, P.O. Robert Surdyka charged the driver and his
passenger, two 19-year-old Glen Rock men, with possession of a
controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) in a motor vehicle
and possession of marijuana under 50 grams. The men were
released pending an appearance in Glen Rock Municipal Court on
Jan. 24

Drug Arrest
At 10:41 a.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, P.O. Mike
Trover charged a 31-year-old Oak Ridge woman with possession of
a controlled dangerous substance (heroin), displaying fictitious
plates and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a
motor vehicle. The woman was later released pending an
appearance in Glen Rock Municipal Court on Jan. 10.

Rash of Thefts From
Cars Reported
At 8:31 a.m.: A Gaynor Place resident reported that someone
had entered their unlocked motor vehicle and removed a GPS
device valued at $200.
At 9:03 a.m., A Gramercy Place resident reported that someone
had taken $18 in cash from their unlocked vehicle.
At 12:32 p.m., A George Road resident reported that someone
had removed the driver's side lock of their BMW using a
screwdriver. According to police, nothing was taken from the
car. The screwdriver was recovered and was turned over to the
Detective Bureau for processing.
At 3:37 p.m., A George Road resident reported that someone
had taken a GPS device valued at $300, an iPhone charger valued
at $60 and some CDs from their unlocked motor vehicle.

Residential Burglary
Reported
At 3:50 p.m., A Main Street resident reported that sometime
between 10:30 a.m. and 3:50 p.m., someone had kicked in the back
door of the residence and taken a laptop computer and a camera
for a total value of $2,600. The Detective Bureau is
investigating.

D.W.I. Arrest
At 2:56 a.m., Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, P.O. Scott
McGovern charged the driver, a 31-year-old Norristown, Pa. man,
with driving while under the influence, careless driving, and
driving the wrong way down a one-way street. The man was later
released in accordance with John’s Law pending an appearance
in Glen Rock Municipal Court on Jan. 24.
Accident Leads to
D.W.I. Arrest
At 3:46 p.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle accident at the
corner of Doremus Avenue and Rock Road, P.O. Mike Ciaramella
charged the driver, a 36-year-old Hawthorne man, with driving
under the influence and driving under the influence of a
controlled dangerous substance. The man was later released in
accordance with John's Law pending an appearance in Glen Rock
Municipal Court on Jan. 10.
